Healthcare Hero of the Month July 2026 – West Midlands Ambulance Service

Our Nomination for July 2026

This month, FND Monthly proudly recognises West Midlands Ambulance Service for their outstanding dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to the communities they serve.

To every paramedic, call handler, EMT, dispatcher, manager and support staff who works tirelessly across our region — thank you. You are on the front line of people’s worst days and you show up with skill, compassion and humanity.

“In our darkest moments, you are the light that arrives when we need it most.”

A Personal Thank You

Since my stroke on 16 October 2024, I have had just over 100 Category 1 call outs for seizure activity. Every single time, West Midlands Ambulance Service has treated me with respect, dignity and care.

Your compassion, patience and reassurance have made an enormous difference to me and my family during the most challenging time of our lives.

I can’t thank you enough.
