My name is Paul Edwards, and this publishing house was founded with one simple mission: to create books that educate, inspire and make a genuine difference to people's lives.
Life has taken me on a journey I never expected. In 2024, I suffered a stroke that changed everything. During my recovery, I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD). Like many people living with these conditions, I experienced uncertainty, fear and countless questions about what the future would hold.
Those experiences challenged me in ways I could never have imagined. They taught me resilience, patience and the importance of finding hope even in the darkest moments.
Although I could have allowed those challenges to define my future, I chose a different path. I decided to dedicate my time to researching, writing and publishing books that help others better understand Functional Neurological Disorder and other important health topics. My goal is to provide clear, practical and compassionate resources for patients, families, healthcare professionals and social care practitioners.
Alongside the support of those closest to me, my faith has been one of the greatest sources of strength throughout this journey. I reverted to Islam in 2023, and it has continued to guide me through both the challenges and the blessings that followed. It reminds me to remain patient, grateful and hopeful, even during life's most difficult tests.
Today, I am proud to work as an independent FND researcher and publisher. Every book produced by Paul Edwards Publishing reflects my commitment to accuracy, compassion and the belief that knowledge has the power to change lives.
